Why are ALL Insurance Products Unavailable if over 70

Wanted to upgrade but I would get no benefits whatsoever as I am over 70. Cannot see how gadget cover can be affected by age

Not sure if Curve will be able to change this unless they change provider, as it is AXA that provide the policy, not Curve.

Curve should contract with AXA the cover they want to offer their customers as they cannot economically upgrade the over seventies at all

I agree that this is illogical. The American Express Platinum Card, for example, excludes over-70s only from the medical section of its travel insurance; but all other sections of its travel insurance remain valid. Unless Curve’s underwriters can show objective justification for excluding over-70s on the basis of them being a higher risk, this could be age discrimination in breach of the Equality Act 2010. I think the underwriters would find it difficult to demonstrate that over-70s are a higher risk on your example of gadget cover.
